The TS118 Adjustable T-Clip is useful when overcladding an existing EIFS (Exterior Insulated Finishing Systems) wall surface which is usually 1 1/2" to 2" thick. Pockets are cut in the existing insulation board and the TS118 Inside T-Clip is screw attached through the sheathing board to the steel stud. The mating outside T-Clip is locked on to the inside clip. The serrated surfaces of the outstanding legs of the T-Clip help to lock the clips in a fixed position. The outside face of the clip provides a surface for the attachment of a wall runner, either TS109 Double-Hook Clip (as shown) or the TS113 Adjustable Runner (DETAIL  6).
